Mrs. H

So this aspiring model is the proud winner of a free photoshoot giveaway of mine. She loved the cowboy pictures I recently did, so she wanted to do that along with adding some of her own flair. We were chased by hornets, wasps, dragonflies, black widows and probably things we never saw which was a good thing! Despite all the trauma we got some amazing shots and had fun while doing so! Good luck to you Rachael in your modeling adventure!

You want to charge me HOW much for a session??

I found this article on one of my many internet snooping sessions. I think it's something anyone interested in photography should read, whether your a photographer, or looking into booking a session with a custom photographer.

There are so many photographers here in Utah that are charging $50-$100 for session fee, PLUS including the full resolution release DVD… I'm not gonna lie, I've charged that too and find myself working countless hours for pennies on the dollar asking myself why. But we've all done it.. You have to. It's good practice, good for building your portfolio etc... But I dont know of anyone that would apply for a job making .04 cents an hour, but somehow photographers are expected to. People see my prices and think I make a few hundred dollars for a couple of hours shooting. HA! I feel I should post this great article about why photographers that have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars, on training, nice equiptment, products, books, gadgets, etc. etc. etc,  buliding their business, NEED to charge what they do. Because after all...as much as we love what we do, we need to feed our families too. Please take the time to read this.

Giddy About My Girl

I could go on and on about how amazing this girl is...I really could. She is my everything and I love her to infinity and WAY beyond. These pictures show how beautiful she is, inside and out. I love you Kelly Bean. ♥

The Hill Family

You would never know that this ADORABLE little girl wanted nothing to do with me, my camera, the balloons...NOTHING. She was done taking pictures before we even started. I've learned I should probably carry Happy Meals, candy, suckers, puppets, dolls, and a whole suitcase full of 'In case of Emergency" items. She really was so cute, and this couple? Helloooo do they get any more gorgeous? These little kidlings were such a riot after we just let them run loose, we were cracking up. And as long as princess had her wagon she was just fine. Haha! Love them!
